She sits at a bar at a roadside tavern, too dark to see the lines in her eyes.  Shadow of a gal  who longed to be a dancer now she's drowning in chardonnay wine.  Old man sitting at a city corner wailing like he's still in a band.  But, that dreams long since up and gone now he's waving empty air with his old black hands. 

She gets a call from her wayward son he says ma' I got a gun in my hand. She thinks back to the boy she use to hold so tight she says, "Don't give up on hope young man."  Old man jingles the coins in his pocket then he gets a gleam in his eye.  He gives a big tip to a young poor busker says boy don't give up on life, son.  Dreams will come, dreams will go but the  one thing you gotta hang on to is hope. Hang onto that hope.  When tomorrow comes. 

Love and intimacy is a God-given, beautiful gift worth nurturing and working on.  This song is for those in lonely relationships, who find themselves lonely in love. 

 Recorded on Java Island, Indonesia during a mission trip in 2020. Michelle translated her song HAVE MY HEART into Bahasa Indonesian as her team was invited to share at a church service with Bible League. It was amazing as the church started singing along at the end.
